Lauren & David met while attending the University of Michigan but have since relocated to Washington. When it came time to plan their special day they decided there was no better place then Meadow Brook Hall in August and they couldn’t have been more right! What a perfect day!

We fell in love with Monica and Brian the first time we met them. They were fun, obviously crazy about each other and had a great story about how they reconnected and fell in love. This was one of those weddings you look forward to all summer:) I’m a firm believer that when you put the right people in place the event will go smooth, well this event had no shortage of professionals and the day went perfect! Alison and her Viva La Diva Events team made sure everything looked beautiful and ran perfectly smooth. JR and Jennifer from JR Magat Photography were snapping some sweet images and were so easy to work with. Andrew from Snapfuze had the dance floor rocking and was totally accommodating to our audio needs! Sweet Heather Ann and her cake.. what else is there to say but YUM! Sarika & Eli’s wedding weekend was too fun! Saturday we filmed their Hindu ceremony in Novi, MI. Sarika looked like a beautiful princess and Eli looked like a… well, anxious groom 🙂 Sunday it was off to the Big House for their second ceremony! This was our first wedding at the University of Michigan Stadium and Eli looked excited! Probably because he and his friends got to play a friendly game of football on the field before the ceremony, how cool is that! After a beautiful ceremony on the field it was up to the Jack Roth Stadium Club (4th floor end zone to end zone room) to celebrate with an over the top reception! Another first for us was working with some new wedding business friends. Prem and Cheridy from Arising Images were capturing some killer images while Rajul and Daphne from Blissful Weddings and Events kept everything running smooth!

What a day! We started with PJ and the other guys at the Renaissance Center in Detroit, then it was off to Grosse Point to spend some time with Val and the girls. Wedding at the beautiful Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel, photo session at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club and finally a Yacht ride to the Detroit Yacht Club for a party like no other! Laura and Mike were the happiest couple ever! Laura couldn’t stop smiling and laughing and Mike just seemed to be glowing all day! Laura was sooo excited when Mike came around the corner at their first look that I thought she was going to run down the hall to him… so in LOVE! Seriously… who dosen’t love a ceremony where the groom tears up… yep, he did:) We had so much fun getting to know Laura and Mike on their wedding day that I wish we could refilm it every year! I found him off of wedding wire and was trying to find someone who took an artistic approach to shooting while fitting in my price range. After days of searching, I found Shane! He was awesome to work with and I am extremely glad I chose him. In addition, I want to note that we needed a piece of footage early as one of our grandparents passed shortly after the wedding. This beautiful Chicago couple celebrated their wedding day in Grand Rapids Michigan and we were lucky enought to be chosen to capture the day. Beautiful ceremony at St. Paul’s Apostle Catholic Church followed by a trolley ride to Blythefield Country Club where the bride and groom were escorted down the 18th fairway to their awaiting guests by a bagpiper… AWESOME!

Most weddings days are planned for a year and then over in one day. Shelly and Kumar’s wedding lasted almost a week! We were honored to be present for two of those days. The Sangeet was at the family home on Orchard Lake… when I say home I mean something off Cribs (MTV show)! It was a beautiful evening on the lake full of performances, dancing and incredible food form Rangoli Indian Cuisine. Next was the ceremony… and it just kept getting better, the Detroit Fillmore Theater! Most people attend the Fillmore to watch their favorite bands in concert… we were there to film a rock star type wedding! After the wedding it was off to the MGM Grand Casino for more awesome Bollywood style performances, Rangoli Cuisine and dancing into the night!
When filming a wedding it is always nice to work with other great professionals in the industry. We had the opportunity to work with Adam and Heather from Czap Studios for the first time at Shelly and Kumar’s wedding and it was a great experience. I have been a fan of their work for a long time and now a fan of the people behind the work as well!
